Match Preview: Houston SaberCats vs. RFCLA

Houston SaberCats get the home advantage for the tie tonight against RFC LA. Houston finished 2nd in the Western Conference, a couple of points ahead LA. However, both teams have lost their home games against each other this season. Houston lost 22 - 24 when LA visited in April, whilst LA lost 28 -45 for the visit of Houston. Both games of the weekends fixtures have ended with a home victory, is there a chance the last game of the weekend will see an away victory? With LA on a decent run of form leading into this match, they were on a 4 game winning streak but ended in the last league game against Western Conference table toppers Utah.

Houston come into the game with an unchanged forward pack from last weeks game against Anthem RC. They opt for a reshuffle in the back line, Drave Davis moves from 14 to 11, Rufus Mclean moves from Full Back to 14, Sam Hill moves from Outside centre to Inside Centre, Tautalatasi Tasi steps into Outside Centre & Max Schumacher takes the Full Back Jersey. Houston will have the packing of the home crowd, and what looks to be a real pre game party planned for the Semi Final tonight.

RFC LA make a few changes in the forward pack from last week out against Utah, Alessandro Heaney is in at Loosehead, Ben Sugars in at Hooker & Ed Timpson is in at 7. The only change in the back line is Rory Van Vugt in at 11. RFC LA will be looking for the team to get that form they had before the Utah game back on track and at a key time. This game has the potential to upset the home advantage that has dominated the other 2 ties so far.
