Bath's bid for an unprecedented treble marches on as the Blue, Black and Whites will now visit the Welsh capital two times in under three weeks.
The West Country side visit the Principality Stadium on May 10 for their 'Big Day Out' Premiership meeting with rivals Bristol Bears, but Saturday's victory over Edinburgh means they'll also be back there for the European Challenge Cup final, played on the 23rd.
Johann van Graan's side were forced to see off a resilient and defensively dogged Edinburgh but one way traffic for the lion's share of the second half proved eventually too much for the home side as player of the match, Sam Underhill, was back to his best with a ferocious display on both sides of the ball.
The 40-time capped England flanker produced textbook jackals, shuddering hits and took his first half try brilliantly to enter the conversation as an outside bet to become a Lions bolter.
Underhill sets the tone with early score
Bath took the lead through Underhill's opener after the 28-year-old drove over from close range.
Will Muir was sent to the sin bin for kicking the ball out of a ruck, and Edinburgh exploited their numerical advantage as swift hands to the outside put Sione Tuipulotu in to score.
Bath had the physical advantage in their pack and their formidable driving maul saw Tom Dunn cross.
However, a deliberate knock on by Tom de Glanville resulted in a penalty try and the second Bath player to visit the sin bin.
Repeated infringements then made it 14 on 14 as Edinburgh's Sam Skinner was also forced to sit on the naughty step.
Bath went back to their maul, from which Dunn profited once more from the back of.
Substitute Alfie Barbeary wrestled his way over as Bath's power game began to pay off.
Edinburgh deserve credit for not going away
With Bath dominating possession and territory, their 10-point lead looked as if it would be game over, but the Scottish side had other ideas.
A sumptuous line from fly-half Ross Thompson assisted Ali Price in reducing the deficit to just three points.
But Bath's forward pack were the difference makers, and replacement Nial Annett powered over.
And wing Muir, nicknamed the horse, galloped through the Edinburgh defence and fed flanker Guy Pepper to round off the scoring and send the visitors to Cardiff.
