Leicester Tigers staged a stunning second-half comeback to record a 31-26 win at Saracens in the PREM Rugby Cup.
Tigers had trailed 21-12 at the break but scored three second-half tries at the StoneX Stadium, including Josh Manz's late winner, to claim a bonus-point victory.
The win keeps Tigers top of Pool B and booked a semi-final place in this season's competition with one group game left to play - the match at Mattioli Woods Welford Road against Harlequins.
The powerful performance by the pack, and the lineout drive in particular, was the foundation for the win.
Captain Tommy Reffell scored twice from the lineout maul in the first period and then Finn Theobald-Thomas added a third early in the second period.
Replacement scrum-half Ollie Allan darted down the side of a ruck to put Tigers ahead for the first time on the hour.
Tigers weathered losing a player to the bin and the disappointment of going behind again to score the winning try three minutes from time through replacement Josh Manz's close-range finish.
Saracens scored the game's first try with nine minutes on the clock. Tigers repelled waves of Sarries attacks on the edge of their 22 but fly-half Louie Johnson's kick found space behind the Leicester line for Lozowski to dot down. Johnson added the extras.
Tigers hit back immediately with a couple of attacking lineouts. The first, with a penalty advantage, was held up over the line.
But they scored from the second with a brilliant lineout drill. Wells collected possession under pressure but as he landed the pack sent the maul driving over the line where Reffell applied the finish. Bailey's conversion levelled the scores after 14 minutes.
It was end to end and Sarries regained the lead moments later, flanker Tayo Adegbemile finding himself in space down the left to score. Converted by Johnson, it restored Saracens' seven-point lead.
The hosts went over in the same corner for their third try on 22 minutes. Tigers' tenacious defence had driven Saracens away from the Leicester line to the edge of their 22.
But Olly Hartley found Rotimi Segun in space on the touchline and he evaded the last tackle to dot down. Johnson landed another touchline conversion to move the hosts 21-7 ahead.
Tigers came out with field position and a penalty from a period of kick tennis. They won two penalties in trying to set up the maul and they made no mistake with the third penalty, withstanding the initial Sarries attempt to drive them into touch for a pod to break free and Reffell to dot down.
Tigers finished the half with a lineout on the Saracens 22. Theobald-Thomas' wrecking ball run had Tigers on the front foot but a knock-on a few phases later brought the attack to an end with the hosts leading 21-12.
In total Saracens conceded five penalties in their territory in the opening five minutes of the second half as Tigers piled on the pressure.
Eventually that pressure told with the third try of the game, and the third from a maul. This time it was hooker Theobald-Thomas who followed up his accurate lineout to finish.
Bailey's kick struck a post as Tigers trailed 21-17 after 48 minutes.
Tigers came within a whisker of a go-ahead fourth try as Bailey burst through a gap in midfield and kicked ahead to turn the Saracens back three. The ball bounced kindly for Ryan Crowley but the wing knocked on as he was tackled in reaching for the line.
It was all Tigers in the opening 15 minutes of the second period and they threatened again through Tom Threlfall. His kick forced Sarries into desperate in-goal defence and to concede a five-metre scrum, but it would be a temporary reprieve as Tigers made the field position count to score their fourth try.
This time the lineout drive was stopped but the forwards kept it tight with a series of close drives to tie in defenders.
It created the space for replacement scrum half Allan to dart down the side of the ruck to score the bonus point try and give Tigers the lead for the first time.
Whiteley's conversion gave Leicester a 24-21 lead on the hour mark.
Brilliant scrambled defence preserved the lead. Andy Onyeama-Christie's break looked destined to end in a Saracens try but Threlfall's last-ditch tackle stopped him five metres out. The point of attack was switched inside where Tigers were able to overturn possession and clear towards the 10m line.
Tigers took play to the other end where two further Saracens infringements brought with them a team warning for a yellow card.
But it was Tigers who went down to 14 men. Brandon Jackson intercepted virtually on his own line, and as the wing broke up to halfway he kicked ahead and was tackled by Whiteley, which the officials judged was illegal and gave the outside half a yellow card.
Saracens made the extra man pay, with Segun exploiting the space to score his second try on the left and put his side 26-24 ahead.
Sarries went down to 14 themselves when they pulled down another Tigers maul that was heading towards the line. Replacement prop Tietie Tuimauga saw yellow.
They lost another player moments later as Tigers set up camp on the Saracens line and former England lock Isiekwe was sent to the bin for offside.
Tigers took full advantage to score a fifth try and regain the lead, Josh Manz driving over from close range with three minutes remaining. Bailey's extras set the seal on a brilliant second-half fightback.
